My name is Matias. I operate at the intersection of brand strategy, modern interface design, and experimental technology. As a creative director and conceptual artist, I build digital experiences, unspool complex media challenges, and design systems that help brands communicate with clarity and intent.
Welcome to my digital garden and studio archive—a living repository of interactive builds, creative direction case studies, and strategic advisory.
Keep on Blogging
I try to keep a journal of what things happening in my space time and the mind space. Being here and there:
⚒ FEATURED PROJECTS & DIGITAL EXPERIMENTS ⚒
A living archive of digital builds, strategic white papers, and interface explorations. Built deliberately; documented openly.

Fluxus Schedule Engine: Magical Mystical G-Calendar
An experimental collision between everyday digital productivity tools and conceptual performance art. By training a conversational model to generate Fluxus-style performance scores, this project injects micro-disruptions directly into your schedule via automated Google Calendar notifications. Subscribers receive invitations to break routine, enact ephemeral scores, or introduce moments of spontaneous play into the workday.
Kilroy Was Here: Psychogeography via Street View

An autobiographical mapping experiment examining spatial memory and digital cartography. Spaces shape identity—anchoring memories that range from enduring eras to fleeting seconds. Using Google Street View as an architectural lens, this project maps an intimate photographic atlas: capturing digital snapshots of exact geographic coordinates that served as defining milestones, transforming public map data into personal geography.
Universal Passport: Open-Source Border Critique

A tactile web art project and open-source design critique addressing national boundaries and global human mobility. Designed as a printable, open-source template engineered to fold directly over standard state-issued passports, this speculative artifact serves as a quiet protest—imagining a world where the freedom to travel, live, and create belongs unconditionally to everyone.
Early Chatbots & Synthetic Media: Dialogues on Creative Direction

An archival record of early interactions with conversational models, documented through the lens of creative idealism before synthetic media became ubiquitous. These dialogues explore whether generative intelligence could democratize production and creative voice. The transcripts capture early inquiries into machine collaboration, prompt aesthetics, and the evolving role of the creative director.
White Papers Project
An exploration of imagination rendered through synthetic intelligence. Rather than chasing sterile realism, this project embraces the surreal edge, happy accidents, and strange visual hallucinations of generative tools—treating the machine not just as an assistant, but as an unpredictable creative medium.
The Birthright Protocol – WP 01

Early on, the promise of the web felt clear: export a small .gif, upload it via FTP, enter a URL, and watch it render in a browser window. It signaled an open era where anyone could publish their voice, share their identity, and connect a fragmented world. That original utopia never fully arrived, but its premise remains vital. This project explores sovereign digital identity—a blueprint for a future where individuals truly own, filter, and transact their own data.
Walk-a-Film – WP 02

An experimental, location-based mobile experience that turns the city of Los Angeles into an interactive cinematic soundstage. Timed for the influx of global visitors at the 2028 Olympic Games, this project lets users step physically into iconic film locations across LA, blending real-world geography with mobile virtual environments to place participants directly inside legendary Hollywood scenes.
⚹ STRATEGIC SERVICES & CONSULTING ⚹
Finding hidden opportunities within organizations and untangling media challenges through creative strategy. Trained in the arts and shaped by mass media, I bring lateral thinking to complex communication systems.
Artist-in-Residence & Workflow Innovation

Operational routine often dulls creative acuity. As an embedded artist within organizational workflows, I help executive and creative teams recognize emergent patterns, integrate generative tools deliberately, and approach routine business challenges through an artistic lens. The goal is to consciously craft output that feels intentional, not just executed.
Creative Direction for Modern Brands & Campaigns

Modern branding requires typographic precision, visual discipline, and operational agility. Drawing on decades of agency and independent practice, I partner with forward-looking teams to direct identity systems, digital campaigns, and multi-platform launches. My focus is strategic clarity: modernizing workflows and establishing cohesive creative that moves organizations forward.
Advertising & Campaign Archive

A retrospective analyzing the craft behind strategic advertising across legacy and digital mediums. Software and the open web transformed mass communication, and this archive tracks that evolution: breaking down campaign architecture, media interventions, and effective brand storytelling.
Interface Architecture: From Fine Art to the Web

The boundary between fine art, advertising, and digital design is porous; their methods and trajectories continually overlap. Grounded in the German principle of Gestaltung—the deliberate act of giving tangible form to an idea—this portfolio traces how conceptual inquiry translates into functional web architecture, interactive systems, and digital expression.
